i won't be your perfect little p r i n c e s s
APPEARANCE | Regan is the girl who has never quite left that stage of awkwardness that occurs at the start of puberty, she was something of a "late bloomer" which may be the reason but it shows in her face. She looks uncomfortable and shifty a great deal of the time, perhaps because she never really knows where she stands with her family. She stands at 5'6 and weighs around 100lbs - probably due to the fact that she still very much thinks she run around and try to climb trees for most of the day. She hasn't quite adapted to the role that a princess should have, thinking that it will never serve her well in the long run. Perhaps this attitude is due to the similar attitude of her elder sister whom she looks up to a great deal.[/style][style=padding: 10px; -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 15px 15px; border-radius: 0px 0px 15px 15px;]
Regan left eye was injured in an accident when she was a child and as a result this eye is a milky-blue colour as opposed to the deep blue of her right eye. She wears an eye patch to cover her blind eye most of the time because she was once told that it was "unsightly" for a princess to expose it...speaking of which. The technicalities of who Regan's parents are explain that she isn't truly of royal blood. Her mother may be the queen but her father is quite a different story. Although the same may be said of two of her siblings, she was the only one that was born without the royal mark - her pale skin is left unmarred by any sort of birthmark in fact, hence she is the only one whom it can be proved is not the king's children.
Moving onto her hair, Regan keeps it short and tidy and she is at least greatful for the fact that with her dark coloured hair she at least resembles her eldest brother, the heir to the kingdom's throne, to some degree. This aside, her hair actually takes a more purple tone than anything else, potentially because of affinity with poison-based abilities.
When it comes to clothing, Regan isn't very fussy. She wears tunics with dresses that she has mutilated - cutting the tops off of them and making them into very frilly skirts. Being able to sew has its benefits. Regan also likes to do the reverse and wear tights with the tops or dresses, or tights with dresses. She likes to add embellishments to her clothing, beads and ribbons amongst her favourite things to use. If there are any things that Regan will absolutely object to however then its heeled shoes and clothes picked by anyone else but herself. She is perfectly content with her strange fashion sense and soft leather boots, thank you.
PERSONALITY | Regan isn't ashamed of who she is; she isn't proud either but she certainly isn't ashamed. Content perhaps, yes.
She isn't the most graceful person that you'll ever meet as she has an uncanny ability for becoming distracted and walking into things that are quite clearly in front of her. Regan also has a habit of day-dreaming when people are talking to her and not really taking in what they are saying to her. She isn't necessarily trying to be rude to them but she doesn't have the greatest attention span and it takes a lot to keep her focused on something. Unless she is interested in it.
Regan is respectful to those that deserve it however she is in the firm belief that respect is something to be earned, not simply given away flippantly. This being the reason that she doesn't appear too bothered by the way in which her guardian often disregards her - she hasn't done anything to earn his respect so why should she expect it? However, she is determined to win his respect some way or another, simply to prove that she can do it and that she is worth somebodies time.
The young princess is also very loving and kind to her siblings, especially to the youngest prince and to her sister. Regan feels that she may be in love with the youngest prince in fact but she cannot be entirely sure whether that is the case because she isn't sure what that is supposed to feel like as she hasn't felt like it before. Besides that, she is sure that such a relationship would be frowned on and it might just be that which attracts her to the idea; Regan has something of a rebellious streak in her and gets a thrill from pushing boundaries laid down to her and breaking rules on occasion.
Never one to be sat around, Regan is normally found outside, sat in or under a tree, skirts all ruffled and cheeks bright red. She likes to be active and she likes the fresh air that the outside offers so the idea of sitting inside, back straight and being utterly dull certainly doesn't get her excited in the least.
If its an honest opinion that you want then asking Regan is certainly a good way of getting one, if you don't mind how blunt she is. Sometimes she doesn't even realize when she is being rude through this - if she has an opinion then she will share it, regardless of what the consequences of doing so may be.
Regan tries to keep good intentions at her heart. Not everything works out for her, like the time when she made Aria a dress of all things, but she tries to keep a positive mindset and do the right thing when she can. Despite this however she is still very much in discontent with the thought of changing who she is to appear more ladylike or appear as anything other than who she is. Her good intentions only go too far.

WEAPON | Regan uses a sovnya, the pole is 4ft long and the blade juts out a further half foot. She started practicing with such a weapon when she was only ten and it has been something which she has enjoyed learning to use over the years. The reality that she would use it against another person however? It hasn't quite hit her yet and it may take some time for it to sink in if she eventually realizes. The black pole of the weapon is smoothed wood (to make it as lightweight as possible) and a poison dart frog has been carved at the end where the curved blade is attached. The blade itself is made from a lightweight metal, again this is to account for the fact that Regan wants a weapon she can move about quickly.[/style][style=padding: 10px; -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 15px 15px; border-radius: 0px 0px 15px 15px;]
WEAPON LEVEL | Level three.
SPECIAL ABILITY |
Poison touch, level 2. This ability allows Regan to produce a poisonous substance with her touch, which then harms whatever it is attached to. The girl refers to them as 'traces' as they can remain in place for days, waiting. Due to her inexperience with this ability however she is only able to leave a 'trace' on objects which are heavily consisted of water - such as plants and animals, not that she would want to do such a thing to the latter of course. She hasn't tried it with humans yet but she isn't sure that it would be entirely successful because of just how large they are. At this stage, the poison isn't very potent and an animal in contact with a trace would only become mildly sick. A plant would suffer in the sense of a few inessential cells dying.
Rotted breath, level 1. This ability allows Regan to cause a toxin in the air which acts as something of a knock out gas, on smaller targets at least. She has very little chance of knocking out a fully grown man or woman but it would work well in children. In those who do not faint, a headache is induced. The gas also smells horrible. Regan can use this in small spaces but in larger spaces it is mostly ineffective.
ARMOR | Leather armor, level three.

not all fairytales have a happy b e g i n n i n g
There was talk when Arielle was born that she was a problem and needed to be removed - no royal mark meant that it could be proved that she was not the king's child. By some miracle (known as her mother) she was not discarded, though looking back she never feels she was ever quite as spoiled as any of her siblings, something which she isn't as begrudging about as you might think.[/style]
As she got older, Arielle became Regan as the girl started to develop more of her individual personality. She spent a lot of time outside (and still does) climbing up trees and scratching her knees and falling in mud and generally enjoying her childhood. Perhaps it isn't supposed to be how a princess behaves but it was how Regan wanted to behave and act. She wanted to have fun and she certainly didn't want to play dolls and dress up. Despite this, she did develop her own sense in fashion and her own appreciation in clothes - she just didn't want it to be dictated to her like she was just something to be filled with information. Regan also liked to spend a lot of time with her older sister, mimicking her in play and asking her questions. For whatever reason she felt more comfortable around Aria then she did around her other siblings.
When Regan was ten she started practicing with a sovnya for the first time - her guardian had left her alone again and what else was she to do with her time? Perhaps the better question is - what guardian in his right mind leaves his charge alone in a room with weapons? Something Regan is eternally asking. Sadly, it didn't end so well and she wound up cutting herself on her left eye. Hence its current state. Despite how he left her, Regan refused to feel any sort of animosity towards her guardian - she doesn't feel that he deserves it, whatever he may do. She decided that she just needs to make him see that there's more than one way to treat someone and that the way he treats her isn't necessary.
