In terms of magic and other stuff. I will explain it here. Do not hesitate to message me questions in regards to it! [STYLE=font-family: 'ms gothic'; font-size: 12px; margin-top: -8px; background-color: #a65930; text-align: center; position: relative; z-index: 2;] SO DOES THE WORLD HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN?[/style] ⋆ ⋆ Yes, it most certainly does. It does not speak or move or anything like that, but there are those who know for a fact that the world has a mind entirely of its own. It feels pain, when there is a fire, it hurts. When corruption takes post and breeds more corruption, it fears. There are times when the land itself can bestow or take away powers. Granted, this is rare, but it can. There are also those who can understand the land and is desires. They are those who have very powerful elemental powers (can be any race). They feel what the land feels, understand its desires. Sometimes the land will act through them. Again this is very rare. [STYLE=font-family: 'ms gothic'; font-size: 12px; margin-top: -8px; background-color: #a65930; text-align: center; position: relative; z-index: 2;] DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE LAND CHOOSES ITS RULERS?[/style] ⋆ ⋆ It can. Examples of this are in the Fabre line currently. Any child born to the one that was initially on the throne (in this case the king, but sometimes even the queen.) will automatically bear the mark of a royal. (So think Caeius, he was born of the king and a servant, but because he was born from the king, he automatically bears the mark of a royal.) When someone outside of the Fabre line marries in, they gain a royal mark. No one knows how this happens, it simply appears as soon as the crown is placed upon their head. This means that they are technically a royal now. However, if they have a child out of wedlock, the land itself takes into hand whether or not the child will bear the mark of royal or not. It tends to take the personality of the child into account. It is able to read if the child would potentially make a good leader or not. Think of the case of Aria and Aiden, they both have qualities that make them worthy of leading, and they could have the desire to lead if they truly sought it out. Children that the land does not believe would make a good ruler, are born without the mark. Think of the case of Arielle. This does not make them any less worthy of life - as some royals have killed the children born without the mark. It simply means that the land does not believe they desire to lead, or they do not have the qualities that make a leader. That being said, it is highly probable that the 'Fabre line' that is on the throne today, is not pure blooded, and probably not even actually part of the initial Fabre line.
