[style=width: 400px; font: 12px open sans condensed;serif; color: #e4be66;text-align:justify; background-color: #a65930]APPEARANCE | With short, dark-brown hair, golden brown eyes, slightly shorter stature—at least he’s still taller than most women—and a noticeable baby face, Noel doesn’t look like much of a fighter. However, realizing what some poor bastards may assume, he strives to prove them wrong. His body is especially well toned for his height, muscular, and packs a hell of a punch for such a flimsy looking guy.
When Noel’s out of his typical fighting gear, he’ll be seen in thin, sparse, and dark clothing with necklines dipping lower than most. He doesn’t have any kind of interest in colors that “pop”, and his favorites would definitely be black, brown, or navy. He’s not fond of wearing layers of any kind—armor is heavy and definitely hot enough as it is, once you get it off, you’ll want everything else off, too—which leads to his perfectly rational hatred of cold weather.
Notably, if you stick around to stare at the back of Noel’s neck long enough, it’s likely you’ll catch a glimpse of his guardian mark: a bird in flight on the lower part of the back of neck. However, what you won’t see is what lies underneath his clothing. Long, mangled scars travel sporadically across his back, arms, knuckles, and chest—battle scars.
PERSONALITY |
+ Noel is dedicated to everything he does, but his position as a Guardian the most so. He’s quite loyal to the Princess. However, there are few to no other people that he’s loyal to.
+ What Noel values, he values with every bit of his being. He is incredibly passionate and sincere about the things he loves, though not exactly vocal about his love.
+ Intelligent, and amazingly so. He may be the hard-hitter type, but Noel’s in no way a meat-head. He has extensive knowledge of most subjects, and can typically answer any question.
+ Despite whether he may look it or not, Noel is incredibly brave and has a steel-will, exceptionally so in battle. He’ll gladly challenge any opponent, won’t back down, and intends to come out victorious.
+ Noel’s rather communicative and always ready to impart knowledge . . . except for one thing, he absolutely hates to explain things. It really gets under his skin if he thinks the answer should be obvious, but if you ask him about something unorthodox or something he loves, he’ll go on about it.
+ He’s very, very confident in himself—though, surprisingly, he’s not too much of a braggart—especially in his skill with battle. He trusts himself to get it done, and to get it done right, and he has very little doubt in himself.
+ Noel is surprisingly compassionate, and though he's not touchy-feely, he likes to comfort others and is quite empathetic.
- Notorious for his awful temper, Noel’s not only a guy who’s quick to pick a fight, he also loves throwing punches. He easily gets into arguments; so much so that you could say a disagreement with him is more like a greeting than a threat.
- Noel has a bad habit of being extremely dogmatic, and constantly forcing his opinion down someone’s throat. He’s extremely stubborn about changing his mind as well, and won’t listen unless heavily persuaded.
- Noel can be fairly judgmental and just defaults everyone to “untrustworthy”. Once he’s made a judgment about someone, he’s either right or too embarrassed and bull-headed to admit that he’s wrong.
- Noel will sporadically burst into embarrassment, usually caused by his behavior. When he’s embarrassed, he’s especially unreasonable.
- He seems to always be worried about something, though the majority of worries revolve around his charge, who is unpredictable when it comes to the most vital things. Though he constantly tracks down and lectures Aria, Noel pays little attention to himself, his safety, and well-being.
- Noel is atrociously moody. He’s well known for his fiery temper, and can easily bounce from completely calm to hopping mad in a split second. He’s easily triggered and notably sarcastic, especially when someone is bothering him.
- He's a pervert. Not a flirtatious or overbearing one, but more of a closet pervert.

[style=width: 400px; font: 12px open sans condensed;serif; color: #e4be66;text-align:justify; background-color: #a65930]WEAPON | As a guardian, Noel has skill with most weapons, but his preferred weapon would definitely be gauntlets. His pair is made of steel dyed a jet black and melded with thick, sharp groves traveling across its base—almost resembling a dragon’s scales. It cuts off into a sharp triangle at the edge of his forearm, right below his elbow. The “fingers” of the glove are dull, but thick metal plates stacked on top of each other to allow free movement for his digits. Though his gauntlets have probably seen better days, they’re incredibly sturdy and pack a shattering punch.

SPECIAL ABILITY |
Muscle Mimicry|
Conveniently, Noel can easily mimic any humanly possible move from seeing it before him once. However, this move must be humanly possible; he cannot mimic any sort of magical move, healing ability, or any move that is outside the limits of his body. Things he could possibly mimic would be how one handles their weapon, as long as it is not magic-based, their basic attacks, and dodges. He can only mimic one move once per thread. After it’s done, he forgets it, and cannot mimic the move again until in a separate thread with the owner of said move. After mimicking a move, one post must pass before he can attempt to mimic another move, and that’s only if the next attack is actually able to be copied.
Seismokinetic Combat|
Due to the fact that Noel has little natural talent for magic, all the potential magic he can conjure up goes straight into mental reserves. Once there, it charges up a sort of earthquake-esque vibration when his fists or legs come in quick, forceful contact with either a person or an object. This “charging” sequence takes two posts, releases a fair amount of damage, and has a chance of setting his opponent off balance.
ARMOR | Unfortunately, Noel has little in the way of natural magical talent; he relies on armor and quick movements for his defense. Taking what he considers the best he can get without sacrificing speed, he’ll typically wear ring mail armor at level three.

Blood-spattered Crest|
A finely crafted, slender slab of fine metal adorned with a large sapphire and hand-carved into a design foreign to Noel, he keeps it around his neck at all times. Supposedly, it is the remainder of his mother, whose death is unknown and of little importance to him. Despite knowing he has no feelings towards a now long dead woman, he holds on to it for reasons he cannot really explain. The chain has been changed numerous times, the original chain lost along with his mother. Across its front is what resembles a dark spatter of blood, and on the back is carved, “To my daughter: deaf from lies, blind to temptation, all which is known is lost, and all which is bound now unrestricted.”
Leather gloves|
A simple, yet sturdy pair of leather gloves which end right below his elbow. Burned into the material are several designs and the mark of the royal family. A gift from his teacher for growing into such a fine young man, he wears them constantly.[/style]
[style=width:400px;background-color: #d6c177; font: 16px open sans condensed;serif; color: #000000; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase; line-height: 92%; padding-top: 3px; padding-bottom: 3px;]THE HISTORY[/style]
[style=width: 400px; font: 12px open sans condensed;serif; color: #e4be66;text-align:justify; background-color: #a65930]An accidental birth to his mother, a notorious rebel with a death penalty over her head, she realized that there was a more vital purpose in her life rather than mothering an infant, especially one with such a mark on his neck. She began relentlessly searching for the proper place to abandon her child as she was pursued by the knights. However, on one freezing evening after she'd finally cut off a dangerous chase, her child—who had not shed a tear since he first fell from her—began to wail hysterically, giving her away. Realizing that smothering him would lead to a fate worse than death, she offered herself out to the knights and bargained her freedom in exchange for her son's. The knights agreed to her terms and she gave her child away, but as she turned her back to flee, she was wrenched back by her hair. A metal hand grasped and ripped the beloved necklace her father had given to her from her neck and a cold metal impaled her. As her final moments slipped by, she watched as the knights left her to bleed on the snowy ground, cursing her now silent son in their arms.
Regardless, the child would continue on without any knowledge of his blood or his mother's passing. Quickly swept into the arms of a stern, but gentle woman, the boy was given his name by her and adopted her last name. From then on, Noel would train with her accompanied by the idea that he was to live, breathe, and serve his charge regardless of any and all circumstances. Though he could not always see his charge as often as he might've liked, the sight of the young princess filled Noel with purpose . . . and an odd feeling that could be described as "extreme concern" and maybe a pinch of doubt. Nonetheless, it pushed him to strive towards the strength to stand beside her.
As he grew, Noel became rambunctious. Whenever the opportunity arose, Noel would sneak out of the royal castle and savor the less sophisticated parts of Skara City, favoring brawling tournaments. During this time, he practically lived for the fight, pushing his body to and beyond its limits, fighting opponents he could not defeat, and constantly striving to win and keep winning. When there was no competition, Noel took to hanging around taverns, meeting knights and rogues alike, and he was always the first to swing if he thought someone was looking at him wrong. Underneath everything, Noel just wanted the strength to match anyone in battle, all to ensure that he’d be able to stay alive to protect his charge no matter what came after her.
Now, Noel still takes to brawling when he can—well-known for his skill in battle—but he’s far more concerned with Aria, who’s built up a good rebellious attitude, but still can’t seem to take care of herself despite being a full-fledged woman—not to mention every damned scum from the royal palace to the zero lands wants her hand, which only means one thing: Noel has his work cut out for him.[/style]
