Having had many of his prior attempts at friendship harshly shot down, Caeius has more or less resigned himself to shallow relationships while simultaneously believing that no good will come of his connections without giving something of equivalence back. Basically, most interactions that are positive in nature are taken as contracts or brief partnerships. However, he’s not entirely made of stone and while trust might be hard won, it isn’t impossible. There is also the matter of his alterego ‘Harpe’ whose role is more to spy on the citizens and maintain a small information network to be used at his discretion. Often times when he’s among the citizens is when he is most receptive and willing to make attempts to connect with people – albeit initially it will be more for self-interest than a burning desire for friendship.
ENEMIES They will outweigh any other category and the better majority of them consist of aristocrats, nobles of varying allegiances and primarily family – even the ones he likes. Being that he is an illegitimate child and thereby his existence along is an unwanted blemish to the family name, there has been ridicule and scorn aplenty. He utterly hates his father of whom he has no relationship outside of biological affiliation, resents all of his siblings regardless of their legitimacy and easily lets everyone who interacts with his family fall under this category. His cynicism prevents him from seeing anyone in a purely positive light and expresses his disdain for them under cloak and dagger. Basically, everyone is an enemy until he has blackmail worthy evidence, are exempt from being completely hated or have offered him something that he can later use to further his own goals. And if he deems another person a threat well, simply put, you do not want to find yourself in this category. You won’t stay there long.
LOVERS His desire for companionship has become twisted over the years; any concept of love now stands to be a brief moment of intimacy imbued with a need for comfort. Caeius is not much of a flirt but is no stranger to promiscuity – thankfully nowhere near as reputable as the eldest. He will sleep around but it’s less the act of being intimate with another and more the temporary feeling of being wanted that draws him to a lifestyle of loveless physical connection. And he has plenty of reason too. As a prince he has to uphold a certain status quo in the pedigree of his lovers, that and he genuinely fears becoming attached to anyone lest they be used against him or outright betray any trust he has for them. He is fragile but if he were ever to take the risk there would be little he isn’t willing to do for them. To those who he loves there would be no equal and he is fiercely protective of those people.
OTHERS I would seriously appreciate if the King would banish him. I've not figured out for what reason, maybe Caeius is framed or perhaps making a poor judgement that leads to an entire platoon getting killed by rebels, maybe even just standing up to Daddy Dearest, but someway he needs to be exiled. I have designs on him defecting and joining the rebellion to later lay siege to the kingdom and cause all sorts of mayhem in doing so. Other than that you're free to suggest anything.

Arielle wants her brother to stop being such a sour puss and cheer up <3 Also, since she was born without a royal mark I was thinking they could have a connection in the whole illegitimacy thing. Up to you.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] CAEIUS & ARIA In all honesty I don't think that Caeius would know what to do in regards to Arielle. By default he is supposed to hold her in some form of contempt however, due to both her possible illegitimate status as well as the fact that she's likely more ostracized then himself on account of the lack of royal mark. So by all rights he might feel more inclined to be very protective of her because their backgrounds are just that similar. He'd feel a sort of kinship with her and with that would probably just grow to enjoy her company as he does Aria's. They'd be a little trio maybe and since she can relate to him he'd probably try to act more friendly around her but is also going to chase every suitor she ever has away.

Arielle would be satisfied for him to just not scowl at her whenever she was around to be perfectly honest. And it's good that he'd look out for her cause although she'd deny needing protecting, her guardian doesn't stick around her much and she's pretty much left to her own devices which will never end well.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that her canon plot is that she has a crushu on Cae ;3

Caeius&&Aiden
So, I'm not sure how much Aiden and Caeius would really interact. They aren't related by blood, but Aiden doesn't know that, so he considers him a brother, if only a half-brother. However, due to Caeius unfriendliness, I'm not sure how they would really get along. I think Aiden would feel a bit of pity for the him, since the King didn't even want him in the first place. I don't know though. If you have any ideas, let me know.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] CAEIUS & ARIELLE
oh yeah that crush thingy!! herpderp. Mkay so lets see here~ So since I forgot about the crush thing there's an interesting kink in all the plans. Cae is not shy when he wants to be affectionate (even if they can be a little roundabout sometimes) and if neither is he dense enough to ignore signs of attraction. Coming from his sister though? Hurhur, he's totally lost. On one hand she makes him happy when she's around, her lighter personality is nice and he probably feels very at ease with her. But then on the other hand he's trying to look out for her best interests and it's his sister. Blood or no he's scared of anything beyond the ties of family developing since that might earn them both even more ridicule for being both illegitimate and now immoral. So for the time being he may just pretend that he doesn't notice until he either decides to court her in secret or pushes her out of his life completely. I say she should kiss him at least once

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] CAEIUS & AIDEN You...I hate you. I don't even need a reason...Caeius doesn't really want anything to do with his brothers, they're all miserable bastards in his opinion so aside from being snippy and polite he'd want little to do with him. If Aiden ever teased or taunted his little brother as a child then Caeius may undercut him a bit. If not he might just dislike him but have no real opinion otherwise. It'd be nice if Aiden could Caeius could spar though.

I don't think friendship would be the word to describe the kind of partnership Oster and Caeius will be having, however they will ostensibly end up working together most likely in a large capacity. Caeius' forthcoming exile will be key, because Oster will look to be taking in any followers, especially illegitimate bastards who have sensitive knowledge. Perhaps Oster sweetens the deal by promising this bastard some sort of important position in his proposed post-Fabre kingdom.

Caeius&&Aiden
I don't think he would have teased Caeius as a child, but I think he probably wouldn't have really talked to him, or maybe even acknowledged him. However, when Caeius get's exiled, it will give Aiden one more reason to stand up to the King, and I think, even if he never said it, or even spent much time with Caeius, aside from sparring, he's still Aiden's brother, and Aiden cares for him.

CAEIUS & EZRA
Close friends & possibly unfortunate attraction
I think Cae and Ezra would be two angry, intelligent, mistrusting peas in a pod. They both grew up as children with royal fathers, but were unlucky to have low leveled mothers. They could have been friends as kids growing up in the castle running around beating each other with wooden swords, or Ezra could be one of his sword fighting instructors. It doesn’t matter to me, but if Ezra was going to trust anyone it would be someone that has faced the same kind of internal pain she’s had of having parents that didn’t want her. Although, the whole alter ego thing she may not entirely know what do about it, but probably accept it either way. Also, she could try and persuade him more into the Royal Guard because she found it as a way to escape her title of the “bastard of the duke.”
Ezra would tend to have a protective nature around Cae mainly because he is younger than she is, and knows that he is still stuck in the royal family. It would probably show in awkward moments where she’d want to snap at people who gossip about him or call him a bastard. Also, Ez respects those that are cunning like she it because she believes intelligence is hard to come by these days. They can be chess buddies! So nerdylame The only negative is that Cae would have to withstand her rough nature, and the way she talks so bluntly. Other than that I can see them being close friends, and possibly Ezra forming somewhat of an attraction to him because they are so similar. She wouldn’t really know it though, just kind of shrug it off until it creeps up on her, and then she’d freak out like,” OH MY GOD I’M SUCH A PEDOPHILE! ><” hahaha But anyway let me know what you think, and if you have any plots for them in mind Roboto! <3

Caeius&&Damien
Acquaintances at most I suppose.
Damien was around when Caeius was born, watched over him for numerous of years and even though he was the king's unwanted child Damien was still fond of him. In my history I had it that Damien was teaching Cae some swordsmenship before he left for his teacher that trained him so we could have that? Really its up to you, I could see Cae not being fond of Damien because of his position as his father's guardian.
